Fern Court Apartment at Richmond is a luxurious destination retreat that is suitable for small families and friends vacating in the area. Fern Court Apartment is brand new apartment complex only 20 minutes outside Ocho Rios town central and 1 hour drive from Montego Bay airport.
The apartment is on the second floor, sleeps 4 and comes fully equipped with all the wonderful amenities of home and so much more. Free WIFI is accessible throughout the apartment. Both bedrooms are equipped with AC units and ceiling fans. Ceiling fan and cable TV are in the family room. Fern Court Apartment at Richmond is located in the gated community that has 24 hour security. This community has a resort feel to it, which means that you will have all the experiences of staying at a local hotel, while still having the pleasure and feeling as if you are still home from home.
A Supermarket, deli, pharmacy and liquor store are all located on Richmond Estates and only 3 minutes away. Several restaurants and attractions are within 5 to 20 minutes’ drive:

St Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital is in the north-east health district of Jamaica and has been steadily upgrading its facilities throughout the last few years. Some of these upgrades have been attained through charitable donations by organisations such as the Adopt a Ward Foundation. The hospital is currently classified as a Type B hospital under the Jamaican healthcare system, but it is working toward Type A status.

Similarly, in the second city, Montego Bay plenty of , large, air-conditioned luxury coaches run regularly on popular routes. These are easily accessible and comfortable to use. Outside the capital, the public transport services aren’t as regular, or fancy. Most of us islanders use the buses, minibuses, and route taxis to get around and we’d love for you to join us!
For traveling between towns, minibuses are the way to go, and certainly make for an interesting experience. Along the way, you will see – and hear – the real Jamaica. But prepare to compete for a seat with luggage of varying sizes and contents. On longer trips, passengers almost become a community; somehow the shared experience of being so close to a complete stranger may create an unspoken bond.
Each town had a designated bus park, and although the destination stands are rarely marked, the conductor will find you. Keep your luggage close to you and be sure to check fares and destination with the driver before you board.
A “route taxi” has a designated course, pick-up, and drop-off zones. They are the cheapest and fastest way to get from place to place, and always one just around the corner. Just stick out your hand, and wave.
