St Lucia Carnival is one of the top annual party events in the Caribbean. Taking place each year in July, the island of St Lucia turns into a massive celebration filled with elaborate costumes, intoxicating rhythms, parades and more.
Under the leadership of the Cultural Development Foundation, St Lucia Carnival has been recognised as one of the top carnivals in the Caribbean and continues to grow more vibrant and creative each year.

St Lucia Carnival is one of the top annual party events in the Caribbean. Taking place each year in July, the island of St Lucia turns into a massive celebration filled with elaborate costumes, intoxicating rhythms, parades and more.
Under the leadership of the Cultural Development Foundation, St Lucia Carnival has been recognised as one of the top carnivals in the Caribbean and continues to grow more vibrant and creative each year.

The festivities begin in the days leading up to the event, with a range of parties and celebrations taking place throughout the entire island. One of the most anticipated pre-carnival events is the ‘Color Me Red’ party; a large street party where people dress in Red.
Another popular event is the Transcend Neon Night party. The carnival action officially kicks off with ‘J’ouvert’, the official carnival opening street party. Other popular carnival parties include the Escape Fete, Aura, Duck Work Binge and Tribe Ignite.
Where to view St Lucia Carnival
St Lucia Carnival takes place in the island’s capital of Castries. You can find a wide range of festivities taking place throughout the entire city; with Castries and Gras Islet hosting most of the action.
A number of parties also take place on Pigeon Island, Reduit Beach and Rodney Bay Marina.

Can children come to events?
Unless otherwise stated, children are not welcome without an adult, but please be aware that most of our events are aimed at an adult audience. Children must be supervised at all times.
Is there seating at events?
Yes, we always provide a variety of seating for all ticketholders unless it’s a dance event or art show opening. One of our crew will always be on hand to assist you in finding a seat if you need one.
Where can I park?
There is a wide choice of places to park, however most are not free so please do check before you come on the Southampton City Council website. We have no onsite parking.
Are you near public transport?
Very. There is a bus stop a few doors up and the train station is about 7 minutes gentle walk away.
Is it safe to come at night?
To our knowledge, none of our customers has had any bad experience, however we do recommend that if you are worried you stick to the roads rather than walk through the parks. The roads are well-lit and generally there are a lot of people about at night.
Can I come on my own?
YES! Many of our customers come alone to events, it’s never a problem and you will be welcomed warmly.
