The Royall Lyme, located in historic Dunmore Town, was built in 1820 as the British Consulate, and later became the Royall Lyme Cologne factory. Situated on one of the largest in-town lots facing the bay, it offers a tremendous amount of privacy for being right in the middle of the island action.

A beautifully landscaped garden welcomes guests through a quaint picket gate from Bay Street. The middle yard houses a crystal clear fully tiled pool and sitting areas that rival the finest hotels on the island. Comfortably heated in the cooler months and chilled during the hotter months. The veranda and adjacent terrace offer areas for entertaining, dining and relaxing. One of the great benefits of the in-town location, yet set back from Bay Street, is the opportunity to see the activity in the harbour and on the government dock.

The outdoor spaces of the Royall Lyme are, in fact, the best living room in the Bahamas. Another highlight of the Royall Lyme is the Widow's Walk on top of the house. A great place to sit and read a book or watch the island from a bird's eye view. Great place to enjoy the awakening of the island in the morning and a great place to see the spectacular sunsets as the day draws to an end...And, many a dark night have been spent up there counting the shooting stars and admiring the constellations, a treat that many don't get because of the city lights. The interior of the house is meticulously decorated with traditional island colors and comforts.

The living areas and the bedrooms have a very homey feel, and yet you will find that, weather permitting, you will live on the covered veranda and many other outdoor areas that are on the property. The main house hosts 2 bedrooms: 1st floor twin bedroom and bath; and 2nd floor king bedroom and bath. Additional privacy is offered by the private breezeway entry to the queen guest suite and the main master king suite. Only a short walk across the island to the famous pink sand beaches, restaurants and shops are short walks down the street, and when you wander for the day or just a few hours, you will always feel a sense of peace as you return home to the Royall Lyme!!!
